IU raises dorm rates 4.9 Hoosier students for 2010-2011

KOKOMO — Students living in Indiana University’s residence halls will see a 4.9 percent increase in rates next school year as a result of new rates approved by the board of trustees during meetings Thursday and Friday.

Patrick Connor, executive director of Residential Programs and Services, said “double-digit” increases in utility costs, coupled with increases in food prices, make the increases necessary.
