Indiana state agencies doing job with less staffing, governor says

INDIANAPOLIS - If a major state employer announced 4,800 job cuts, the news would be seen as a significant blow to the state economy.

But Gov. Mitch Daniels recently has been trumpeting the fact that Indiana is operating with thousands fewer state employees compared with when he took office in January 2005.
