Truth report
Monaco Coach Corp. has hired outside advisors to evaluate all its business operations, including the Roadmaster utility trailer operation in Goshen and the Bison horse trailers facility in Milford.
The recreational vehicle maker, based in Oregon, announced today it is considering a variety of alternatives, including joint ventures and mergers, as possible ways to solidify the company's finances.
Monaco has hired Imperial Capital LLP as a financial advisor to assist with the evaluation of strategic alternatives. Also, the company has retained Avondale Partners LLC to assess strategic alternatives for the company's motorhome resort business and has retained BMO Capital Markets to evaluate its equine trailer division and specialty trailer division.
The RV maker stressed the evaluation may not result in any specific financial or strategic transactions.
In addition to the Goshen and Milford plants, Monaco manufactures lines of motorhomes and towables in Warsaw. During 2008, the company idled its plants in Wakarusa and Nappanee, cutting about 1,400 workers.
