Northeast Indiana area sees increase in December 2009 jobless rate

FORT WAYNE - If you thought the jobless rate in December 2008 was bad, you don't know bad.

Unemployment rates rose last month in 43 states, including Indiana, which posted a seasonally adjusted rate of 9.9 percent, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development announced Friday.
