Northwest Allen County Schools layoffs inevitable, board hears

Layoffs will be necessary as Northwest Allen County Schools strives to make $2.4 million worth of budget cuts before the next school year, business manager Bill Mallers told the school board Monday.

 “We are talking about some major adjustments,” Mallers said. “We don’t find any other way of getting to the amount of cuts we need to without affecting our personnel.”
