Perry Elementary School in Delaware County will close with no opposition

SELMA -- No one protested Tuesday night when the Liberty-Perry Community Schools board voted unanimously to close Perry Elementary School.

The closing, blamed on declining state revenue, will save more than $200,000 a year through the elimination of six staff positions and operating expenses that includes gas, electric, sewage, telephone, Internet and bus service.
