MUNCIE -- Thousands of East Central Indiana residents don't have a high school diploma and are woefully unprepared for changes in the region's economy, a statewide report said Tuesday.
The Indiana Chamber of Commerce report urged improvement to the state's adult education and workforce training efforts. The chamber urged a stepped-up focus on working-age adults who might find themselves displaced from rapidly-disappearing manufacturing jobs.
