Rhinehart Finishing is adding production and storage capacity to its Spencerville plant.
The company needs more space to ship, receive and store products for its new aerospace and heavy military truck businesses, according to a statement released by the DeKalb County Economic Development Corp. The company specializes in pretreatment, powder coating and liquid spray coating with an emphasis on military and defense specifications.
The 22,500-square-foot addition eventually will allow for more production. It is the company's third expansion since its 2001 founding.
The expansion is expected to create 10 jobs and cost more than $1 million in the next 18 months, according to the statement. It also will ensure the existing 111 employees are retained.
Rhinehart Finishing already has more than 120,000 square feet for development, production and warehousing.
