South Bend auto supplier moving operation to Michigan, costing 57 jobs

SOUTH BEND - By the end of the year, auto parts maker Mann+Hummel intends to close its plant on North Bendix Drive and relocate its South Bend production lines to Michigan.

About 57 employees will be terminated in stages, starting in late September and continuing until the week before Christmas, according to a recent letter to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
