Indiana University's public broadcasting radio and television stations will lose about $200,000 due to a recent round of budget cuts ordered by Gov. Mitch Daniels.

The state cuts come just days after IU President Michael A. McRobbie announced that the university must cut $59 million from its budget. The two budget cuts combined could significantly change how the two Bloomington stations operate and what programming they provide.

WFIU stands to lose about $30,000 while WTIU could lose as much as $170,000 from the state cuts, officials with both stations said Friday.
