Wabash National tells 790 employees they shouldn't expect to return to work

Wabash National Corp. announced bad news Friday for 790 employees who were furloughed last winter and told they might be recalled if business picked up.

Business hasn't, and they won't.

In a notification letter sent Friday to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Wabash officials said revisions in estimates of demand for new trailers in the foreseeable future led to the decision.
