Worker tax for jobless fund considered

INDIANAPOLIS - As lawmakers consider how to make Indiana's unemployment insurance system solvent over the long haul, a philosophical debate is stirring over whether it's time for employees to share the burden.

Testimony this week in state Senate hearings showed there is a misperception by employees that they already contribute to the unemployment system through taxes withheld from their paychecks.
