Senate Appropriations Committee alters course of Toll Road bill

INDIANAPOLIS – LaGrange Republican Sen. Robert Meeks led the way Thursday in limiting some perks in a bill allowing the state to lease the Indiana Toll Road, as well as the authority of the governor to move forward on other projects without specific approval.

House Bill 1008 then passed the Senate Appropriations Committee by a party-line vote of 8-4.
