EDITORIAL: Acceleration not as pivotal as college graduation

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels announced Monday that he wanted more colleges and universities to provide accelerated bachelor's degree programs that would help students graduate in three years, rather than four years or more.

Daniels explained the accelerated programs would shave about $25,000 off the cost of a traditional, four-year bachelor's degree and would get students into their careers faster.
