Reduction in Force was the major player at the April meeting of the Linton-Stockton School board with approval of four teachers to be cut at the end of the school year.
Julie Dix, family and consumer science teacher, Jennifer Wall, fourth grade teacher, Amber Siscoe, kindergarten teacher and Kim Haldemen, business teacher, were cut at the Monday meeting.
"It's nothing we want to do. We have to do it," explained L-S Superintendent Nick Karazsia after the meeting.
"Right now it (RIF) is permanent," he said. "Hopefully there's a chance we can call them back."
Enrollment and Title I money might also affect the decision.
