TELL CITY - Perry County commissioners reduced at a regular meeting Monday the number of voting locations in the county from 21 to 11.
Their action came at the recommendation of the county election board, whose members said the changes will save more than $5,000 per election after the 2010 primary. They had also said it has become increasingly difficult to find people willing to staff the voting locations and some previously used sites did not meet criteria for wheelchair access.
