Patrons at Casino Aztar and the French Lick Casino spent more money on gaming last month than they did a year ago, according to a state report.

On Friday, the Indiana Gaming Commission released its June casino revenue report. Released monthly, the reports detail how many people visited each of the state's casinos, how much they spent on gaming and how much each casino paid in taxes.

Including both table games and electronic gaming machines, Aztar patrons spent $89.2 million on gaming in June, a rise of 3.1 percent over the same period in 2010.

At French Lick patrons spent $71.4 million on gaming, up 4.7 percent over a year ago.

Aztar saw 100,662 visitors, down less than 1 percent as compared to last June.

French Lick saw 85,197 visitors, up almost 1 percent from a year earlier.

Aztar's visitors spent $5.4 million on table games (down 3.1 percent) and $83.8 million on electronic gaming (up 3.5 percent).

At French Lick, visitors spent $4.7 million on table games, down 12.8 percent as compared to a year ago. Those visitors also spent $66.7 million on electronic gaming, up 6.2 percent.

Aztar paid $3 million in admission and wagering taxes last month. French Lick paid $2.2 million.
