Two new inns will replace long-shut Fort Wayne hotel

FORT WAYNE – The sign of deception will disappear.

More than a few out-of-towners have been fooled by the Fun Dome banner along Interstate 69 on Fort Wayne’s northwest side. The sign stayed after the property temporarily changed hands and has remained even though the hotel and amusement center has been closed for years.

“That (sign) has been a concern of ours,” said Kristen Guthrie, marketing manager for VisitFortWayne, the area’s tourism agency.
