Most casinos around Indiana — including Tropicana Evansville — posted gains in their gambling revenue and visitation last month.
Tropicana reported that it took in $10.7 million from gambling last month, up 11 percent from the same period a year earlier. A total of 101,672 people entered the casino last month, up 12 percent from last year.
The data comes from the Indiana Gaming Commission's February revenue report, which was released Wednesday.
Because 2016 is a leap year, last month contained 29 days as compared to the usual 28.
Taken as a whole, Indiana's casinos earned $192.2 million from gambling, up 8 percent from the previous year.
The French Lick Casino posted the largest percentage gain. Its gambling revenue totaled $7.1 million last month, up 32 percent.
Only one facility, the Horseshoe Casino in Northwestern Indiana, saw its gambling revenue decline. That facility earned $35.6 million, down 1 percent.
A total of 1.4 million people visited Indiana's casinos last month. Among the facilities that report their admissions figures, none showed a decline.
The weakest performance came from Ameristar in Northwestern Indiana, where visitation was essentially flat as compared to the previous year.
The facility posting the strongest percentage gain was the Rising Star in Southeastern Indiana. A total of 61,217 people visited that casino in February, up 14 percent from the previous year.
The French Lick, Hoosier Park and Indiana Grand casinos do not report admissions figures.
Tropicana Evansville declined to comment.
