LifeShare Technologies plans to create up to 24 new jobs over the next five years as part of the company's expansion plans in Shelby County.
The plans were announced Thursday as Gov. Mike Pence joined executives from LifeShare and 16 other companies to announce expansion plans which are expected to create 648 new jobs in seven counties..
LifeShare, which specializes in communication solutions for seniors and senior living communities, will invest more than $330,000 to expand its operations and add employees in clients services, sales and technology roles by 2021.
Founded in 2011, LifeShare's main product is a TV-based application that caters to senior living facilities and aging individuals both in care facilities and in their homes. The product integrates with any TV and a simplified remote allows the individual to stay connected with family and friends through email, text, social media, photos and video. The service can even connect health providers. The product, which is now available in more than 150 senior living communities in 15 states, allows facilities to integrate facility notifications as well as community activities and programming.
"There is a growing interest in simplified tools that allow individual seniors, their families and care providers to more effectively communicate," said Steve Rusche, co-founder and chief executive officer. "LifeShare is building easy to use, cost-effective solutions that improve the quality of life for everyone involved."
LifeShare, 2177 Intelliplex Drive, currently employs 10 full-time associates and plans to create up to 24 new jobs by 2021 with average salaries above the state average.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered LifeShare Technologies LLC up to $335,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $30,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans.
These incentives are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives.
