Fort Wayne has first assessment of homeless population in more than 10 years

For the first time in more than 10 years, Fort Wayne officials say they can assess how to move forward with addressing homelessness.

Amanda Fall, manager of homeless services, told the Fort Wayne City Council on Tuesday that she estimates the city has 2,250 homeless people. Her presentation came after two council members wrote a letter urging the administration to do more about homelessness.
