FERDINAND — The Ferdinand Town Council on Tuesday discussed a possible tax abatement for MasterBrand Cabinets that brings 135 jobs.
Council attorney Bill Shaneyfelt told the council he has been in contact with MasterBrand representatives, who have told him they plan to expand their production facility and add $1.1 million in new equipment at the company’s Ferdinand facility. Shaneyfelt said the manufacturer would like to move on this project as soon as possible, with a possible completion date of June 1.
The council will hold a special meeting later this month at a date to be determined to discuss the terms of the abatement.
