Camp Tecumseh is not waiting to see what happens when a confined animal feeding operation capable of holding 9,240 hogs is built about one-half mile away.

The camp board has gone to court, seeking a judicial review and stay of the rezoning approval that cleared the way for the facility.

The White County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on July 1 to rezone 7 acres from general agriculture to agricultural industry.

The rezoning cleared the way for livestock producer John Erickson and his family-operated farm to build two barns on property just north of White County Road 1000 South and just west of Springboro Road.
