EVANSVILLE — The number of positive coronavirus cases Vanderburgh County jumped by 10 Tuesday to 163, according to the Indiana State Department of Health Dashboard.
The dashboard still indicates a second death for the county, although Vanderburgh County Health Department officials said Tuesday the state's report of a second coronavirus-related death here is a mistake.

Statewide, the number of cases rose by 862 to a total of 21,870 confirmed cases. The number of deaths across the state went up by 51 for a total of 1,264.
In addition, the ISDH lists another 113 probable deaths. Those are cases when a physician lists COVID-19 as a contributing cause of death but there are no positive test results recorded.
In Warrick County, there are 110 confirmed cases and 18 deaths, according to the state. Two deaths from the general public have been attributed to COVID-19 in Warrick County along with the 16 long-term care resident deaths.
Gibson and Posey counties have reported no coronavirus-related deaths.
Warrick County's number according to the the county's coronavirus dashboard is 108. That total included 33 active positive cases, including 11 from the general public and 22 long-term care facility cases.

The state dashboard shows that 3,404 tests have been done in Vanderburgh County and 777 in Warrick. But that is not a complete count. Neither the ISDH nor Vanderburgh County dashboards include up-to-the-minute testing numbers.
Statewide, 120,496 tests have been reported, of which 18.1 percent have been positive.
The Vanderburgh County Health Department's dashboard on Tuesday morning showed 161 cases with patients having recovered in 136 of those confirmed positive cases and 24 active cases.
The local dashboard shows 308 individuals have been identified as "close contacts" of people with coronavirus, with 197 of those cleared. The CDC defines a "close contact" as someone known to have been within six feet of a coronavirus sufferer for at least 10 minutes.
The dashboard reports that 111 people are still being monitored by the Vanderburgh County Health Department as of Tuesday.
The Indiana State Department of Health's statewide dashboard showed Posey County remained at 14 with 173 people tested and no deaths. Gibson County remained at seven positive cases with no deaths and 204 tested.
