Referenda bill advances in Indiana Senate

INDIANAPOLIS - The Senate Tax and Fiscal Policy Committee amended legislation today that if approved would require referenda on most capital projects in the state.

While Democrats and one Republican on the committee voted against adding the referendum language to Senate Bill 18 on debt limitations, the bill passed 9-3 overall.
