State web site offers guide to remonstrance

Indiana residents who take issue with projects that could raise their taxes can find a little help online, the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance announced Friday.

The department has launched the Citizen's Petition and Remonstrance Toolkit to guide taxpayers through the complicated process of objecting to local spending, such as capital projects, spokeswoman Mary Jane Michalak said.
