Ivy Tech outsources custodial jobs at South Bend campus, eliminating nine jobs

SOUTH BEND — Ivy Tech Community College is outsourcing the custodial work at its South Bend campus, resulting in the elimination of about nine jobs.

The last day of work for those employees — seven full-time and two part-time — will be July 27, it was announced Monday at an Ivy Tech regional board of trustees meeting.

Team MJV, a company based in Lafayette has the contract to assume custodial services and will start July 28. The company already provides custodial services at Ivy Tech’s Warsaw campus.
