MUNCIE -- When Ivy Tech Community College announced it would bring 2,200 students and faculty members downtown in the next year, the first thought that occurred to many people was: Here's an opportunity to transform Muncie's core.

The second and third thoughts: Where is everybody going to park? And where are they going to eat?

With Ivy Tech's plan to hold classes in three downtown locations likely to become a reality, officials and downtown business owners are scrambling to get ready.
