Muncie area parts suppliers in Ford chain watching

MUNCIE -- Local parts suppliers whose products are used in Ford vehicles were adopting a wait-and-see attitude Friday, hours after the ailing automaker announced it would close or sell plants -- including an Indianapolis facility -- in an effort to stay in business.

Ford's troubles could most directly affect BorgWarner Automotive, which makes Ford transmission parts, but other local businesses supply parts or services for BorgWarner
