BorgWarner, Metaldyne idle workers because of automotive cutbacks

MUNCIE -- Two East Central Indiana automotive parts plants have been hit by worker layoffs.

Today is reportedly the last day on the job for 78 production and skilled-trades employees at BorgWarner Automotive, while the Metaldyne Corp. plant in New Castle is expected to lay off 87 employees on Monday, followed by another 70 in November.
