The gently rolling hills along the boundary between Henry and Delaware counties seem out of place in this otherwise flat region of Indiana, but everything else in sight seems typical of the Hoosier state: Basketball hoops hang above weathered barn doors, cows amble through pastures and the low hum of combines is the only noise besides the wind on this sunny, gusty fall morning.
For Lon Wright, the fourth generation of his family to farm this ground along Ind. 3 between Muncie and New Castle, it's harvest time. That means days that begin before 6 a.m. each morning and don't end until after 9 p.m. It also means hard work for several members of the family, including Wright's 83-year-old father, Dan.
