EDITORIAL: Daniels' admirable first step

Gov. Mitch Daniels is taking yet another bold yet politically risky move by creating a commission to study the structure of local government and recommend changes - perhaps major changes that could even include a new state constitution. Daniels' move, even if it is in part politically inspired by the current property tax controversy, is a welcome and long overdue examination. Hoosiers should applaud him.
