Yorktown asks for special session about property taxes

YORKTOWN -- The town council adopted a resolution this week asking Gov. Mitch Daniels to call a special session of the state Legislature to address the "increasingly burdensome" property tax load on the citizens of Indiana.

Meanwhile, a Purdue University expert is siding with the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns (IACT) in its dispute with the governor as to the cause of the problem
