Muncie's renter population nears that of homeowners

MUNCIE -- The number of Muncie residents who rent their housing grew closer to the number of homeowners over the past decade.

According to Census data released on Thursday, 51.4 percent of the city's housing units were owner-occupied and 48.6 percent were renter-occupied in 2010.
