Daniels urges power plants, coal use in energy proposal

INDIANAPOLIS - Gov. Mitch Daniels traveled the state Friday to tout a new strategic energy plan that relies heavily on Indiana coal.

The "Hoosier Homegrown" proposal calls for pursuit of clean coal technologies and building new generation facilities, which the state has not done in several decades.
