Thor Industries, the recreational-vehicle manufacturer that relocated its headquarters to Elkhart earlier this year, on Thursday reported net income for its fiscal year of $151.7 million, an increase of 36 percent from $111.4 million in the prior year.
Earnings per share for the year ended July 31 were $2.86, up 38 percent from $2.07. Sales totaled $3.24 billion, up 23 percent from $2.64 billion in the prior year.
The company said its fourth-quarter sales of $914 million continued its strong growth in motorized RV sales and more modest growth in towable RV sales.
For the full year, towable RV sales totaled $2.65 billion, an increase of 16 percent. Motorized RV sales were $591.5 million, up 67 percent from the prior year.
