Abnormally dry conditions and increased water usage because of soaring temperatures have put northeast Indiana on the brink of a drought.
According to the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana, the Fort Wayne area has seen only 4.14 inches of rain since May 1. This is 4.51 inches below the normal amount.
