MISHAWAKA -- Driving down Douglas Road, where Ed Leininger's family has farmed land for 80 years, it's hard to tell that anything's wrong.

The cornstalks are green and endless, waving in the breeze like an Indiana postcard set in motion.

But slow down the car and you'll notice the tops are uneven. They're growing at different heights.
