Ivy Tech Community College students in Lafayette soon will be able to take care of their admissions, financial aid, orientation, registration needs in the same place.
Ivy Tech is renovating Ivy Hall at its Creasy Lane campus to make way for its new One Stop center, which is set to open Jan. 2. The goal of the center is to provide convenience to students who had to go to multiple offices to take care of their various needs.
As Ivy Tech administrators try to improve student success at the institution — measured by the state in retention rates, remediation success and on-time graduation performance — administrators say the new system could improve the student experience.
It also is expected to reduce operating costs since several areas will merge under one umbrella.
