MUNCIE — A proposed housing development that was seemingly killed Monday night is still fighting, and a major city project that has been discussed for 5 years still has hope.

That was the message from the Muncie Redevelopment commission on Thursday, when it provided updates on a variety of issues.

“The MRC is probably one of the most vital economic development tools for the city of Muncie,” Todd Donati, director of the MRC, said. “I hope people see that we have a vision to build the community in a positive way.”

Here is the latest on a possible housing development near the site of where local officials intend to relocate the jail, the demolition of Storer Elementary, the White River Canal District project, and the new company moving into the former BorgWarner site.
