Allen County appears ready to try flex hours, four-day workweek

Allen County officials are moving ahead with plans to extend office hours while providing some employees with more flexible work schedules.

The county commissioners on Monday morning discussed a proposal that would give elected officials and department heads several options for when employees can work. The commissioners plan to review and possibly approve a policy allowing and encouraging flexible schedules during their legislative meeting Friday.
