INDIANAPOLIS - School officials testifying on the proposed Senate budget Thursday praised the funding levels but quibbled with some of the details behind the numbers.

And the Senate Republican plan even picked up some Democratic votes as House Bill 1001 passed the Senate Appropriations Committee 10-2.
