Hoosier Park, other casinos lose revenue, guests in April 2012

ANDERSON — Gambling revenue fell for April at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, according to the Indiana Gaming Commission's monthly report.

The Anderson facility earned $16.3 million last month, an 18 percent drop from the $20 million that was collected in April 2011.

Statewide, the 13 gambling casinos reported $224.6 million, which was 6.1 percent less than a year ago. Total visits by patrons numbered 2 million, a 4.9 percent decrease from 2011.
