MUNCIE -- Muncie Police Department officers may be the latest to face layoffs this summer to cover ongoing shortfalls in revenue.
"We asked both (police and fire) departments to make $1 million in concessions," Mayor Sharon McShurley said Thursday afternoon. "If the police union is unable to come up with that, we will make the concessions for them."
