Delaware County-Muncie reorganization proposal to go to voters in 2012

MUNCIE -- The Delaware County commissioners and Muncie City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to put a proposal to consolidate portions of county and city governments on the November 2012 ballot.

The county and city officials retained the amendments made to related ordinances last week that will require two-thirds of voters, rather than a simple majority, to enact the consolidation.
