Richmond Mayor Sally Hutton on Monday said she will not change her plan to halve the city’s share of Economic Development Income Tax given to Wayne County for use by the Economic Development Corp. of Wayne County.

The city traditionally gives half its share of EDIT dollars, around $692,000, to the county for economic development projects in the county. But in early January, Hutton told county officials she will give one-fourth of the city’s EDIT allotment, this year $345,974.88, to the county for two years and then return to the full amount the next two years.
