The City of Decatur has compiled a list of 14 projects costing just under $11 million which it has submitted for possible federal stimulus funds which could be coming to Indiana.
The list was unveiled at this week's city council meeting. Mayor John Schultz said the list was faxed to the proper authorities in Indianapolis for the "Capital Infrastructure Project Survey."
"To me, it's just a wish list ... but who knows?" the mayor said.
Three of the projects were listed in a January 29 story in the Daily Democrat which covered a large number of projects throughout Adams County which had been submitted for stimulus funds by Adams County Engineer Tim Barkey.
Decatur's proposed projects are as follows:
New water wells, $700,000.
Expansion of water treatment plant, $1,300,000.
Water main loop, $1,680,000.
Twelve-inch main valves, $50,000.
Piqua Road curbs, drainage, sidewalks, $140,000.
E. Monroe St. curbs, pavement, drainage, $80,000.
Winchester Road curbs, sidewalks, drainage, $170,000.
City pool and Central Park, $1,250,000.
Renovation of City Hall, $1,800,000.
New city police station, $2,000,000.
Water department maintenance shop, $360,000.
Park maintenance building, $55,000.
W. Monroe St. sewer, $40,000.
Borum Run sewer basin, $1,353,000.
Total: $10,978,000.
