South Bend mayor goes to bat in D.C.

SOUTH BEND - Mayor Steve Luecke and seven other Indiana mayors were in Washington, D.C., Wednesday lobbying Congress to pass the economic stimulus bill.

Luecke was part of a bipartisan delegation from the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns. The group met with Indiana's congressional delegation and is providing them with a list of potential projects for each city if federal dollars become available through an economic stimulus package.
