GE to stop making motors in Fort Wayne, shedding 24 jobs by March 2010

After a long history of making motors in Fort Wayne, General Electric Co. wants to stop by March.

The company said Monday that it wants to shut down its operations making electric motors for golf carts and lift trucks at its Taylor Street plant. About 24 jobs will be cut.
