Greater Lafayette gets road projects ready for federal stimulus package

President-elect Barack Obama is shaping a big part of his economic stimulus package around rebuilding the nation's roads and bridges -- and creating jobs in the process.

Greater Lafayette leaders say they are ready if Obama gets his way.

They have compiled more than $47.4 million in road project requests for consideration under a proposed federal infrastructure investment.
